Q. How do email alerts work for a Email Alerts User ?
>>> As a Email Alerts User, you would have indicated us your preferred visa appointment date. You will receive email alerts to your CGIFederal registered email, when there is a slot available, based on the crowdsourced slots availability screenshots generated by all users, from your preferred date up to 4 months.
Q. Is it mandatory for me a Email Alerts User to contribute screenshots everyday?
>>> Yes. We want to ensure the CheckVisaSlots platform helps everyone and not just someone who has paid for email alerts. As we mentioned during the check out process of alerts subscription, you must contribute everyday to receive email alerts. If you do not contribute, you may not get alerts regularly as contributed users will be prioritized for receiving alerts.

Q. What is the logic for receiving email alerts?
>>> Our goal is to help users book their visa appointment and email alerts are a way to faciliate that. Our email alerts algorithm is geared towards helping users book a visa appointment, rather than just notifying all users regarding availability. It looks at the below aspects to priorize on whom to send email alerts first.
  • How often a user has contributed : if you contribute regularly you will get higher priority for alerts
  • How recent were the contributions : if you contribute often during periods when no one is checking, you will get higher prioirty
  • How close the user's preferred slot date is to the available slots: if the available dates are closer to your preferred slot date, you will be prioritized for alerts

Q. How to contribute?
>>> Contributing is easy, the extension will do it for you
  1. Install the chrome extension
  2. Give your Access Code (received in the signup) in the extension
  3. Log in to CGI portal from the browser you installed the extension.
  4. As usual, Check the slots availability.

Q. I got an email alert, but when I login, there are no available date?
>>> It could be for two reasons. Firstly, if there is extreme demand and other users were able to login and book the dates earlier than you, then you may not see the dates. Also, we indicate in the email alert, how many users we have emailed the availability of dates. That way you know, how much demand is there for those dates. Secondly, it could be that some users mistakely selected wrong appointment type during registration and sent us a false screenshot. In this case, it also can result in not having an open slot. For the second case, we request you to report it to us, so that we can weed out the bad contributors.
Q. I got an email with list of dates, no screenshots. How do I trust ?
>>> We extract the available appointment dates from the screeshots contributed by users and send you the dates as text for easy reading and to avoid alerts going to spam folder. We believe that attaching images may impact email delivery. You always have an option to check the images on the PRO page.
Q. We need an urgent Visa appointment. Can you help us get an appointment as we have email alerts subscription ?
>>> No, we do not provie any such service. Purchainsg email alerts subscription does not include any such service. CheckVisaSlots is a platform we built to beat the unfair advantage that visa agents have with multiple login credentials from users. All we do is provide Visa Appointment availability dates based on the crowsourced screenshots contributed by users.
Q. I have dependents in my visa application. Do you recommend paying for subscription?
>>> No. It is hard to validate & cater if there are dependents in the visa applicantion.
Q. I have entered a wrong email id that is not in CGI Federal portal, how can I fix it ?

Q. I am having issues with payments, whom should I contact ?

Q. Does CheckVisaSlots provide any Visa Slot Booking Service? Does it work with visa agents ?
